Non-Contact Torque Sensor

Non-Contact Torque Sensor

The Teledyne LeCroy Test Services Non-Contact Torque Sensor is designed for installation between a power source and a load to accurately measure torque. Since there are no moving parts, such as bearings or slip rings, these torque sensors are maintenance free. They are designed for continuous operation in harsh environments.

The torque-sensitive element utilizes bonded resistance strain-gage technology and is designed to eliminate the effects of bending and thrust loads.

An inductive power and data transfer system is used for contactless, air-gap transfer of excitation power and torque output signal. Measured values are continuously transmitted from the rotating shaft back across the air gap to a stationary module. Output ranges from 0 to 5 V.
